Locally and Nationally - Preventing Violence Affecting Youth in Honduras (Spanish)

August 2011 - This document outlines a number of policy proposals that have come out of consultations across Honduras. Primary prevention proposals cover domestic and family violence, violence in schools, violence in the community and by the state. Secondary prevention strategies include comprehensive care for vulnerable youth as well as promoting the social reintegration of gang members. Tertiary prevention proposals promote educational measures for children and young offenders, as well as rehabilitation programmes.

May 2011 - 'Building a Future of Peace: a Comprehensive Set of Policy Proposals for the Prevention of Youth Violence in El Salvador' is the second in a series of policy documents focused on developing contructive, lasting solutions to the issue of youth violence. This document marks the culmination of a multi-sector dialogue process which saw the participation of representatives from 17 institutions, 15 civil society organizations and 7 youth organizations. The majority of the dialogue process took place between October 2009 and October 2010 and was facilitated by Interpeace.

March 2011 - The first in a series of preventative policy proposals to cover Central America, this document marks the culmination of a multi-sector dialogue process in which more than 200 representatives from 37 institutions, 59 organizations and 35 civil society and youth organizations took part. The majority of the dialogue process took place between October 2009 and September 2010 and was facilitated by Interpeace. The full report was presented to the Guatemalan Government on 14 March 2011.
