June 2009 - The research presented in this report was undertaken on 11 peace processes published in five volumes. Volume II provides an overview of the internationally mediated peace processes since 1991 and examines three important conferences in detail. Volumes III to V examine some of the key Somali-led peace processes since 1991. This synthesis report collates the key findings of the other four studies. Each volume is a stand-alone report, of interest in its own
